Privacy Policy

Kravestorm is an independent game project created by Reed Arsenhorn. Most of kravestorm.com can be used without giving Kravestorm your name or email address. This notice explains the limited information the site may still process and why.
Who is responsible for the information
Kravestorm is responsible for personal information processed directly through this website. Kravestorm currently has no dedicated contact mailbox. Privacy questions or requests can be sent through the public Discord or Instagram channels linked on this website.
Information the site may receive
The website does not currently use a contact form, demo-email form or newsletter signup. The free Print & Play demo decks are provided through direct download links without asking for a name or email address.
Some features still use limited information:
- Patreon access: Patreon account and membership information needed to verify access to protected features. The website stores an essential signed login session for a limited period.
- Super Kraver credits: for active Super Kraver memberships, the site may retrieve the Patreon display name and public profile image needed to show the supporter credit on the Super Kravers page. If Patreon withholds the name because the member has hidden their identity, the site does not display the credit. If no profile image is made available, the page uses a local monogram instead. No email address is requested for this credit.
- Nekthar quiz: a result identifier and result data may be stored to provide aggregate community statistics and optional result sharing.
- First-party analytics: the website records traffic information such as page path, timestamp, approximate country, device class, external referrer domain, active foreground time and selected outbound clicks. A random anonymous browser identifier and a temporary session identifier are stored in first-party browser storage so moving between pages does not create a new visitor each time. Raw IP addresses are not written into Kravestorm analytics storage.
- Technical and security data: hosting, download and security providers may process normal request data such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps and security logs.
Kravestorm does not collect payment-card details on this website. Patreon handles Patreon payments.
Why information is used
- Requested services: to provide Patreon-protected features and requested website functionality.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the website secure, prevent abuse, diagnose technical problems, maintain aggregate quiz statistics and administer the service where those interests do not override your rights.
- Legal obligations: where information must be retained or disclosed to comply with applicable law.
Direct demo downloads
The two free demo decks are provided through a direct download without asking for a name, email address or newsletter subscription. The website records an aggregate first-party click before sending the browser to the download host. The download host may still process ordinary technical request information needed to deliver the files.
First-party website analytics
Kravestorm uses a small first-party analytics system hosted with the website on Netlify. It is used to understand how many people visit the site, which pages are actually being used, how long pages are actively viewed and whether visitors click actions such as the Print & Play demo, Patreon, Discord, YouTube or Instagram.
The analytics system is designed to avoid advertising-style tracking. It does not set a normal analytics cookie and it does not store raw IP addresses in the Kravestorm analytics database. Instead, the browser creates a random anonymous visitor identifier and a session identifier in first-party browser storage. These identifiers are used only for Kravestorm analytics so several page views in the same browser can be counted as one visitor and one browsing session. If browser storage is unavailable, normal Netlify request information may be processed briefly as a fallback. Stored analytics records may include the page requested, entry page, timestamp, approximate country, device class, external referrer domain, campaign tags included in links (such as UTM source, medium, campaign and content), active foreground time, tracked outbound actions, missing-page requests, and whether the Nekthar quiz was started or completed. Quiz answers are not added to the traffic analytics report. Obvious crawlers, link previews and automated tooling are excluded where Netlify identifies them as such.
The reports are private and available only through creator access. The analytics data is not sold or used for advertising profiles.
Cookies and browser storage
Authentication uses essential cookies. Patreon access sessions are intentionally short-lived and may require you to reconnect periodically so membership access is not trusted indefinitely. Some tools also save information in your own browser, including Print & Play Lab work, settings, quiz results and the anonymous first-party analytics visitor/session identifiers described above. Clearing your browser cookies or site storage can remove that information, reset the anonymous analytics identifier or sign you out.
Custom card images added to the Print & Play Lab are intended to stay in your browser unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise.
Services and recipients
The website is hosted on Netlify. Cloudflare provides DNS/security services and hosts the downloadable demo files. Patreon provides membership authentication. Discord, Instagram, YouTube and Wikipedia/Wikimedia are external services used or linked by parts of the site.
Kravestorm does not sell personal information. These providers may process information as needed to supply their services and under their own privacy terms. Public Super Kraver profile images are loaded from the image URL Patreon supplies. The page sends no Kravestorm account or email information with that image request.
External communication channels
Kravestorm currently uses Discord and Instagram as its public communication channels rather than collecting messages through kravestorm.com. Information you send through those services is handled by the relevant platform under its own privacy terms.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside your country or outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, those providers are expected to use recognized legal safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards.
Retention
Patreon login sessions expire automatically and must be renewed. The public Super Kraver roll may be cached on Netlify for efficient delivery and is refreshed periodically from current Patreon membership information. A name is removed after the site successfully syncs a membership that no longer qualifies or is no longer made available by Patreon. First-party analytics events are automatically removed after about 400 days. Technical/security records, download-host records and provider logs are retained according to operational needs and the relevant provider's retention practices. Aggregate quiz information may be retained to provide community statistics.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, and in some cases to receive a portable copy.
To make a request, use the public Kravestorm Discord or Instagram channels linked on this website. You may also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority in the country where you live or work.
Changes
This notice may change when the website, its providers or its legal obligations change. The date above shows the latest revision.
