About the Creator
Hi there, my name is André, the guy behind the cards, illustrations, rules, and the many strange ideas that somehow became this game. Around Kravestorm, you’ll often see the name Reed Arsenhorn attached to the project, but that’s simply the name I use inside this universe.
Kravestorm really started back in 1999, when I was eight years old. I spent a lot of time at the back of my parents’ store and had to figure out ways to entertain myself. One of them was cutting wrapping paper into rectangles and drawing my own card games on them. Of course, I was obsessed with Pokémon and mostly wanted to create a universe of my own, even if many of those first cards were basically existing Pokémon with different names and colors. My mother kept the original deck in a folder for 27 years, and I still have it to this day.
Life got in the way, and I did not think much about making games again until 2023. As a joke for a Secret Santa get-together, I decided to make a board game, bring it along, and play it with some old friends. It was supposed to be a joke. Instead, it turned into a multi-year obsession that eventually became Kravestorm.
Thank you for giving Kravestorm some of your time, and I hope this game can bring you at least half of the fun I’ve already had while playing it around a table with friends.
Good games!
