Kravestorm set to become 100% Print-and-Play

Kravestorm Print & Play cards and cutting tools

At the beginning, Kravestorm was supposed to be a TCG. A few months later, a wise soul in a YouTube comment made the whole business model worth questioning, and the plan shifted to an ECG. Then came Gamefound and a local print run through Fabryka Kart. The Gamefound page was even created. But the distribution plan never stopped feeling like a problem.

Eventually, the physical release stopped making sense. The more fulfillment was looked at, the clearer it became that Print & Play, despite being a long shot, could actually work.

Running a crowdfunding campaign and then delivering everything to backers is basically another job. Planning, logistics, legal stuff, customer care, suppliers, shipping and all the stress that comes with it would eat months of time and energy. Those are months not spent making new cards and expansions. Not exactly ideal for something calling itself an “Expandable Card Game.”

A lot of people also suggested Print on Demand through services like The Game Crafter or MPC. That was considered too. The problem is the price. A single Core Set box with enough cards to build any legal deck without restrictions would cost more than $100 plus shipping. That kills the whole point of “Game First Always” and giving every player access to the same game pieces.

So the decision is made. Kravestorm is 100% Print & Play. That is the model from here on.

When a new set releases, every game piece can be available immediately. No shipping costs, no waiting weeks for a box, no customs and no extra fees. Players can print only what they want, replace worn cards whenever they need to, and decide for themselves how fancy the finished cards should be.

It also keeps development focused on the game instead of warehouses, shipping and fulfillment. More time making cards. Less time moving boxes around.

Kravestorm is not just an Expandable Card Game anymore. It is a Print & Play Expandable Card Game.
